Kreyman Reaches Singles Final at Crimson Tide Invite

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Danny Kreyman beat a ranked player on his way to reaching the finals of his singles draw and David Hopkins and Amogh Prabhakar teamed up to reach the semifinals in doubles as the Wake Forest men's tennis continued play at the Crimson Tide Invitational Sunday.
Kreyman topped No. 116 Jarryd Botha of hometown Alabama 7-5, 7-6 (4) in the quarterfinals of the Bryant Singles draw before defeating ACC foe Lucas Oliveira of Virginia Tech 7-6 (6), 6-3 in the semifinals. Kreyman will face another ACC player in Boston College's No. 86 Akash Muppidi in the championship match tomorrow.
Adam Lee won his first match of the day against Robert Hall of Louisville before falling to UAB's David Zimmerman. David Hopkins defeated Birmingham Southern's Zane Smith before dropping a straight-set decision to Middle Tennessee State's Ettore Zito.
In doubles, Hopkins and Prabhakar teamed up for two 8-6 victories to reach the semifinals of the White Doubles draw, the first against Boston College's Jonathan Raude and Matt Wagner, and the second against Samford's Fernando Costa and Carson Kadi.
Play will wrap up tomorrow in both singles and doubles.
