PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Wake Forest's top women's doubles team of Kayla Duncan and Kathryn Talbert will begin play Thursday at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships, held at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Duncan and Talbert, ranked seventh nationally, are the No. 6 seeds in the event and by virtue of their seeding received a first round bye in the draw of 32. They await the winner of an opening round match between Joanna Henderson and Natalie Pluskota of Tennessee and Taylor Lindsey and Courtney McLane of Alabama in the Round of 16.

The Deacon duo are the first Wake Forest doubles team in 10 years to crack the national top-10 and hold a perfect 4-0 record this season after winning the top doubles flight at the Virginia Invitational last month. Last season, Duncan and Talbert posted a 14-7 overall record, including two wins over top-10 teams, and reached the second round of the NCAA Doubles Championships.

The Riviera/ITA All-American Championships is one of three individual national championship events on the annual college tennis calendar. The others are the USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships in November and the NCAA Individual Championships in May.
