
Duncan and Talbert Reach Quarterfinals at ITA All-Americans

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Wake Forest's seventh-ranked doubles team of Kayla Duncan and Kathryn Talbert are through to the quarterfinals of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships after defeating Alabama's No. 27 Taylor Lindsey and Courtney McLane 8-6 Friday at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Duncan and Talbert, the No. 6 seeds in the 24-team draw, rallied from a 5-6 deficit to win the last three games of the Round of 16 match. They will take on second-seeded Linda Abu Mushrefova and Nida Hamilton of Northwestern on Saturday for a spot in the semifinals.
The Demon Deacon duo improved to a perfect 5-0 this season and are 19-7 in their careers when playing together.
