The postseason awards continue to file in for Wake Forest freshman Anna Kozniuk, as the Demon Deacon defender has been named to the 2011 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-American Team, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Monday.

A native of North Vancouver, Canada, Kozniuk earned Third Team All-American honors for her efforts during her inaugural season with the team.

Kozniuk finished third on the team with 15 points on the year, as she had a team-leading seven assists and was tied for fifth with four goals. Two of her goals were of the game-winning variety, as both of them came in overtime wins for Wake Forest (Louisville and Princeton).

Her biggest contributions to the team came in the backfield, as she helped Wake Forest post a 1.83 goals against average throughout the season. Her ability to stop would-be goals scorers and then distribute the ball to her front line proved vital to the success of the Deacons throughout the season.

The All-American honor is just one of several awards that Kozniuk has earned this season. She also nabbed a spot on the All-ACC team and was named Longstreth/NFHCA First Team All-South Region.

Kozniuk helped the Demon Deacons finish with a record of 10-9, including a perfect 7-0 record in October that was part of an eight-game winning streak.
