Deacons Wrap-Up Fall Season at Eck Classic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Three Demon Deacons earned singles wins as the Wake Forest women's tennis team competed on its final day of the fall season Sunday at the Eck Classic, hosted by Notre Dame.
Brigita Bercyte gutted out a 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 win over talented Notre Dame freshman Katherine White. Karen Forman also won in three sets against Oklahoma's Whitney Wofford, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2, and Rebecca Siegler blew by the Sooners' Peta Maree Lancaster 6-1, 6-1.
The Demon Deacons will have two months off from competition before the UVA Duals, which are scheduled for Jan. 14-16. Wake Forest will host its first home dual matches of the season on Jan. 22 with a doubleheader against Georgia State and Winthrop.
