WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest sophomore Andrea Beck has been named the King Fisher Society Student-Athlete of the Week.
The award, sponsored by the King Fisher Society, seeks to honor a student-athlete who has excelled both on and off the field as a Demon Deacon.
A Winston-Salem native who attended nearby Mount Tabor High School, Beck was named to the All-ACC team in 2010. She led the Demon Deacons with a .320 hitting percentage and was second on the team in kills (312) and total blocks (100).
Off the court, Beck recently declared a major in biology with a Spanish minor. She was a first team Academic All-District honoree this past fall and was named to the All-ACC Academic Team and the ACC Honor Roll in 2009.
