WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Wake Forest junior women's tennis player Kayla Duncan has been named this week's King Fisher Society Student-Athlete of the week.
The award, sponsored by the King Fisher Society, seeks to honor a student-athlete who has excelled both on and off the field as a Demon Deacon.
A native of Winston-Salem, Duncan is majoring in chemistry and plans to pursue either a career in medicine or a PhD when her tennis career is over.
Duncan, who is in her first year with the Deacs after transferring from TCU, is ranked No. 22 in the country in doubles with partner Kathryn Talbert and looks primed to earn a bid to the NCAA Doubles Tournament for the second consecutive season.
