Florida State Defeats Wake Forest 6-1

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Kayla Duncan earned the only point for the Wake Forest women's tennis team as the Demon Deacons fell 6-1 to No. 34 Florida State on Sunday at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center in Tallahassee, Fla.
The No. 50 Deacons drop to 6-10 (0-7 ACC) while the Seminoles improve to 8-7 (3-4 ACC).
Duncan took down Ruth Seaborne 7-6 (3), 7-6 (5) at No. 4 singles to earn her third win in her last four singles matches.
The Seminoles swept the doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead, and took three quick singles matches to earn the victory, with the clinching victory coming at the No. 6 position. It was the first time in almost two months that the Demon Deacons dropped all three doubles matches.
The Deacs will continue looking for their first conference win next weekend when they hit the road again to take on fellow No. 55 Virginia Tech on Friday and No. 17 Virginia on Sunday.
