DURHAM, N.C. - Due to heavy rains over the last several hours, the schedule for the 2011 ACC Baseball Championship has been altered.
Miami and Virginia, the matchup scheduled for 11 a.m. this morning, was delayed in the bottom of the second inning before the rain started. That game is now scheduled to resume at 6 p.m. tonight, weather permitting.
Wake Forest and North Carolina, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., will be played following the completion of the Virginia/Miami game. The game will begin approximately at 9:30 p.m.
Florida State and Georgia Tech were scheduled to play at 3 p.m. today but will now play at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The three games scheduled for Saturday - Clemson/NC State, Miami/Wake Forest and Virginia/North Carolina - will be played in their original order following the Florida State/Georgia Tech game. There will be a 40-minute intermission between each game.
The ACC's Regional Sports Network television partners will continue to provide live coverage of all remaining games.
