MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Incoming Wake Forest freshman women's tennis player Rebecca Siegler posted one of the best results of her junior career this week, reaching the doubles quarterfinals of the USTA National Clay Court Championships, which were held in Memphis, Tenn.

Siegler and her partner won four matches to reach the quarterfinals, defeating a No. 9 seeded team in the second round and the No. 8 seeds in the Round of 16 to leave them as the last unseeded team in the draw. Their run was ended in the quarters by the tournament's No. 1 overall seeds.

A native of Boca Raton, Fla., Siegler will bring a strong tradition of team tennis success with her to Wake Forest when she arrives in August. She captained her high school team St. Andrews and played No. 1 singles and doubles for the Scots, leading them to the 2011 Florida 1-A State Championship. Siegler captured the 1-A singles crown as well and was named the 2011 Palm Beach County Player of the Year.
