Kreyman Leads Deacons at Tennessee Fall Invitational

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Danny Kreyman won two singles matches Saturday to reach the consolation final of the top singles draw of the Tennessee Fall Invitational.
Kreyman defeated Tennesee Tech's Alex Chen in an Orange Singles consolation quarterfinal match, and teammate Amogh Prabhakar picked up a solid straight-set win in his quarterfinal against Tennessee's Ed Jones to set up a semifinal meeting between the two that Kreyman took 7-5, 6-2. Kreyman will face Tennessee Tech's Syrym Abdukhailiko on Sunday for the Orange Singles consolation title.
Conner Sherwood picked up Wake Forest's only other victory on Saturday, topping Tennessee-Chattanooga's William Disterdick 6-2, 6-3 in the White Singles consolation before falling to Disterdick's teammate Ankit Chopra.
The Demon Deacons will wrap up play in the tournament tomorrow.
