WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The new Wake Forest tennis complex that recently held the ATP's Winston-Salem Open will play host to collegiate competition for the first time this weekend when the Demon Deacon women's tennis team welcomes 16 other teams to town for the Wake Forest Invitational.

ACC foes Virginia and Virginia Tech, along with West Virginia, VCU and Missouri, highlight the teams that will be joining Wake Forest in the tournament, which will consist of six singles flights and three doubles flights.

The Demon Deacons will have one player in each of the singles draws and will also trot out three doubles teams. Kayla Duncan is in the A Singles Draw, Ryann Cutillo is in the B Singles draw, Zane Zarina is in the C Singles draw, Karen Forman is in the D Singles draw, Rebecca Siegler is in the E Singles draw and Brigita Bercyte is in the F Singles draw. Duncan and Cutillo will team up to play A Doubles, while the tandems of Siegler/Zarina and Forman/Bercyte will compete in B Doubles.

Forman and Siegler led the Demon Deacons with 3-1 singles records in their first-career college tournaments. Duncan is a perfect 4-0 in doubles this year.

Play will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, with Wake Forest players taking the courts in the afternoon. Admission is free.
