DURHAM, N.C. - Four Demon Deacons in double figures wasn't enough as the Wake Forest men's basketball team fell 91-73 against No. 4 Duke on Thursday, January 19 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Deacs were led by junior guard C.J. Harris' 20-point effort on an efficient 6-of-8 shooting. The team captain also swished all six of his foul shots and added three assists as WFU dropped to 10-8 overall and 1-3 in the ACC.

Sophomore Travis McKie rebounded from a career-low two points in his last outing to post a double-double of 16 points, 10 rebounds. Sophomore guard Tony Chennault chipped in with 13 points and three steals, while senior forward Nikita Mescheriakov posted 12 points and four rebounds.

Wake Forest trailed by 13 at the break, 45-32, as Duke's Andre Dawkins unleashed a barrage of three-pointers, connecting on 7-of-11 from beyond the arc. He would finish the game with a game-high 21 - all on first half triples - and was joined by three other Blue Devils in double figures.

The Demon Deacons led 7-6 in the early goings and got the first basket of the night on a jumper by Travis McKie, but the Blue Devils went on a 11-2 run spanning 3:09 to open up an 18-9 lead at the 12:20 mark.

Consecutive triples by Dawkins made for Duke's biggest lead of the half, 37-21, as the Blue Devil guard continued his spurt of 18 consecutive points. The Deacs would whittle the lead back down to 11 on back-to-back buckets by Harris and McKie with 44 seconds to go, but Duke's Austin Rivers cut to the hoop and scored an athletic lay-in to settle the halftime lead at 13.

A 10-5 run out of the locker room pushed the Blue Devils' lead to 20 with 15:58 to play, but Wake fought back with a 10-4 run of its own highlighted by a McKie slam and a deep three from the left corner by freshman guard Chase Fischer.

Duke would eventually push its lead to a game-high 26 with 7:32 remaining on its way to a fourth straight win over Wake Forest. The Deacons shot 43.4 percent from the field, but made just 3-of-16 from beyond the arc as Duke connected on 11 of its 23 three-point attempts and shot 63.6 percent in the second half.

The Deacs will now have less than 48 hours to turnaround and play next at Boston College on Saturday, Jan. 21 for a noon tip against the Eagles.
