Deacons Claim Doubles Title at UVa Fall Classic

UVa Fall Classic Draws

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team claimed a doubles title and Anthony Delcore reached the finals of his singles flight on Saturday at the UVa Fall Classic.
Delcore and Sam Bloom, both freshmen, advanced to the Gold Doubles final after James Madison duo Greg Vladimirsky and Florent Sentenac retired at a score of 6-6. Delcore and Bloom then defeated Will Juggins and Anton Andersson of William and Mary 8-4 in the championship match to win the draw.
In singles, Delcore earned a spot in the finals of Blue Doubles after defeating Leo Lapentti, a George Washington senior, by a score of 6-3, 6-0. Delcore will play second-seeded Robert Kjellberg of NC Wesleyan in the finals.
Play will conclude on Sunday.
