Forman Wins on Final Day of Midwest Blast

URBANA, Ill. - Karen Forman posted a win over a player from Georgia Tech as the Wake Forest women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Midwest Blast in Urbana, Ill. Sunday.
Forman took down the Yellow Jackets' Kendal Woodard in two sets, 6-3, 6-2. Andrea Retolaza Andrade pushed another ranked player but came up just short against Georgia Tech's 94th-ranked Elizabeth Kilborn 7-5, 6-4. Brigita Bercyte and Xue Zhang also fell to Yellow Jacket opponents.
The tournament was Wake Forest's final competition of the fall season. The Deacons will return to action on January 19, hosting the Wake Forest Winter Classic, before continuing into dual match play.
