Deacs Set for Trip to Dominican Republic

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will leave for a week-long trip to the Dominican Republic on Sunday, December 16, and will play seven games against local competition through Saturday, December 22.

The above links will provide complete coverage of the Demon Deacons' trip abroad, including daily recaps, video highlights and photo galleries. In addition, a map has been provided with pinned locations for each game and service project.

Wake Forest will play two games on Monday, one game on Tuesday, two games on Wednesday and two games on Friday. Thursday will serve as a day of relaxation, as the Deacs will take an all-day island excursion to Isla Saona.

The Demon Deacons also will tour Colonial Zone, help paint a sugar cane village, attend a Dominican Winter League game and run a youth baseball clinic during their time in the Dominican Republic.

This trip is in preparation for the 2013 season which will begin on February 15 in Monroe, La., against Alcorn State.
