Former Deac D'Agostino to Travel to Spain with U-23s

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Former Wake Forest women's soccer player Bianca D'Agostino was one of 18 players called up to the United States Under-23 National team by head coach Randy Waldrum for its trip to La Manga, Spain to compete in the Four Nations Tournament.
The squad will be overseas from Feb. 20-March 2 and will play matches against U-23 sides from Sweden, England and Norway.
D'Agostino, who graduated from Wake Forest in December of 2010, spent the 2011 season with the Atlanta Beat of WPS and had signed with the Boston Breakers for the 2012 season shortly before the league announced that it was suspending operations for the year.
The Longmeadow, Mass. native also camped with the U-23 team in January and is making her second overseas trip with the squad after traveling to England with them in 2009.
At Wake Forest, D'Agostino served as co-captain during her senior year of 2010, helping lead the Demon Deacons to their first-ever ACC Championship. A powerful force in the midfield, she played in 68 games in her three years as a Deacon, totaling seven goals, 13 assists and 27 points.
