WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Exactly one year ago, Wake Forest head baseball coach Tom Walter and freshman outfielder Kevin Jordan were undergoing kidney transplant surgeries. Today, the duo prepares for the 2012 season, which is just over a week away.
Jordan was diagnosed with ANCA vasculitis and was in immediate need of a kidney transplant. Without hesitation, Walter began the testing process, and within a week of finding out he was a match, he gave much of himself to his player.
Both men have come a long way since February 7, 2011, and they took a few minutes of their time to discuss how they are feeling heading into the season.
