Hopkins Scores Ranked Win at UVa Invite

David Hopkins picked up a top 75 singles win and Amogh Prabhakar and Jon Ho also notched singles victories as Wake Forest wrapped up play at the UVa Ranked +1 Invitational and the Elon University Invitational.
Hopkins came from behind to defeat No. 74 Nick Sayer of Radford 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 in the Blue Singles consolation flight at UVa Ranked +1 Invitational. He was joined in the win column by Amogh Prabhakar, who topped Joe Salisbury of Memphis 7-6 (5), 6-3 and Jon Ho, who took down George Washington's Danil Zelenkov 6-4, 0-6, 6-2.
Brendan Henry and Conner Sherwood won a consolation doubles title at the Elon University Invitational, going on Sunday in the B1 doubles fight. The Demon Deacon pair defeated John Schubel and Brett Landau of UNC Asheville 8-4 in the semifinals, then went on to beat James Madison's Maxi Branth and Florent Sentenac in the finals by a score of 8-2.
The team will next travel to Tulsa, Okla. on October 1 for the week-long ITA All-American Championships. Hopkins, Prabhakar, Lee and Danny Kreyman will represent the Demon Deacons in the event.
