Wake Forest will face Tennessee in the fifth-place game of the Battle 4 Atlantis on Saturday at the Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in the Bahamas.
Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcast on AXS TV and can also be heard on the Wake Forest IMG Sports Network.
Last Time Out
Wake Forest is coming off a 77-63 win over USC on Friday afternoon in the second round of the Battle 4 Atlantis.
All 10 Demon Deacons who saw the court scored at least two points and had at least one rebound, while nine of the 10 dished out at least one assist apiece.
As a team, Wake Forest dished out a Battle 4 Atlantis record 22 assists on 30 field goals.
Coron Williams led four Deacons in double figures with 15 points. Tyler Cavanaugh (11 points), Madison Jones (10) and Devin Thomas (10) joined Williams in double figures. Jones was 5-for-5 from the field and led all players with three steals.
Andre Washington was productive off the bench, scoring a career-best eight points on 4-of-4 shooting in 14 minutes.
Wake Forest Storylines
Tyler Cavanaugh has scored in double figures in three of the past four games: 12 vs. Jacksonville, 11 vs. Kansas and 11 vs. USC.
Coron Williams has made 19 3-pointers combined over the past five games, going 19-for-39 from beyond the arc for 49 percent. He has averaged 13.8 points over the five-game stretch.
Andre Washington has not missed a field goal in three games, going 6-for-6 during the stretch.
Travis McKie's scoring average (10.4) this season may be down from his career average (13.9), but the senior forward has multiple assists in six of the seven games this year.
Series History
Tennessee leads the series with Wake Forest 7-2, but the teams have not met on the hardwood since the 1969-70 season when the Volunteers picked up a 60-59 win.
The series started in 1947-48, and Wake Forest earned wins in 1950 and 1960.
The last time the teams met on a neutral court came on Jan. 9, 1950 when the Deacons won 69-62 in Asheville, N.C., which is approximately two hours from each school's campus.
Next Up...
Following the Battle 4 Atlantis, Wake Forest returns home to host Tulane on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. on ESPN3. Wake Forest is 4-0 all-time against Tulane, as the teams will be meeting for the first time since Feb. 3, 1992, when the Deacons knocked off the No. 13-ranked Green Wave 69-66 in Winston-Salem.
The Deacons will then host annual non-conference rival Richmond on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. Wake Forest will be off for a week for final exams following the Richmond game.
