Kozniuk and Conroe Earn All-ACC Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Junior Anna Kozniuk and redshirt junior Christine Conroe earned All-ACC Field Hockey honors as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Thursday.
Kozniuk, a junior from North Vancouver, Canada, was selected to the All-ACC First Team which marks the third-straight year she has been honored. This season, she ranks second on the team in goals with eight and has registered five assists for 21 total points. Kozniuk, who serves as the team captain, also has two defensive saves and is 2-for-2 on penalty stroke opportunities.
For her career, Kozniuk has 17 goals and 21 assists and was named the 2011 ACC Freshman of the Year.
A native of Greene, N.Y., Conroe picked up All-ACC Second Team recognition for the first time in her career. Conroe has been instrumental for Wake Forest this season and has provided four assists on the offensive end while serving as an injector on penalty corners. She has started every game this season in the midfield for the Demon Deacons.
Wake Forest is ranked 15th in the nation and takes on No. 3 North Carolina on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the ACC Field Hockey Tournament in Newton, Mass.
