Wake Forest Heads to Pitt and Maryland

• Wake Forest travels to Pittsburgh to meet the Panthers for the first time in ACC play and will then head to Maryland on Sunday.

Last Time Out

• Behind 24 kills from Silvi Uattara, Syracuse downed Wake Forest 3-1 (25-27, 15-25, 25-19, 21-25) on Saturday night in Reynolds Gym.
Kristin Grissom led Wake Forest with 14 kills along with two solo blocks and two block assists. Jazmen Russell chipped in 10 kills while Ashlee Rusk had nine and Matalee Reed had four. Sophia Dodd had 40 assists while Megan Miller tallied 22 digs.

Wake Forest Storylines

• Opponents are hitting .174 against the Demon Deacons this season which is the fifth best mark in the conference. Wake Forest is fourth in the ACC in blocks, averaging 2.59 per set.
• Wake Forest plays the majority of its matches at home in Reynolds Gym in the month of November after playing a combined four matches at home in Winston-Salem in September and October.
• The Demon Deacons came back from an 0-2 deficit against Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. to win 3-2. It was the first time since 2006 that Wake Forest has rallied from an 0-2 deficit to win the match.
• Wake Forest began the season 11-1 which was the best start in program history. The best start in school history was set in 2000 when the team went 10-1 to start the season. Wake Forest has also surpassed its win total from last season.

The Opposition & Series History

• Wake Forest and Pittsburgh will play against each other for only the second time after the Panthers won 3-2 in 2007 at Oxford, Ohio.
• The Panthers have lost five-straight matches, all in the ACC, heading into Friday's match.
• Maryland leads Wake Forest 24-18 in the all-time series.
• Sunday marks the last time that the Demon Deacons and Terrapins will face off in the ACC as Maryland joins the Big Ten conference next season. The two teams first met in 1977.

• Wake Forest returns home to face Duke on Nov. 15 and Clemson on Nov. 17 in Reynolds Gym.
