HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Wake Forest sophomore Marissa Dodd made four birdies and tied her career-low round with a 71 to pace the Demon Deacons in round two of the Darius Rucker Invitational on Saturday.
Dodd bogeyed two of her first three holes but responded with three birdies in the next four holes to get to 1-under par. She would play just 1-over the rest of the way to card just her second-career 71. After opening with a 75 on Friday, Dodd is tied for 11th at 4-over par.
As a team, the Demon Deacons posted a second round 320 and is 56-over par through two rounds. That has them in 14th place with a round to go.
One day after carding the lowest round of her career on Friday, freshman Mariana Sims had a tough round two and finished with an 84. Junior Olafia Kristinsdottir also carded an 84 on Satirday and 19-over through two rounds.
