VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Wake Forest volleyball continued its winning ways in the spring season on Saturday at the Coastal Virginia College Tournament in Virginia Beach, Va.
The Demon Deacons went 6-2 on the weekend with 2-0 wins over Norfolk State, Virginia Tech and Virginia. Wake Forest rolled to 25-18 and 25-12 set wins over the Cavaliers while edging out the Hokies 25-23 and 25-20.
"We're 3-0 versus ACC opponents this spring and we're beginning to see some transfer from what we work on in practices to the matches which is exciting for the players and staff," said head coach Ken Murczek. "To finish the day beating Virginia was great and we ended on a high note. It's hard to beat someone 25-12 and we did it without making many errors."
Wake Forest finishes up the spring season on April 17 at UNCG with the match beginning at 7 p.m.
