WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team will open fall play this weekend at the William & Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va.

All nine members of the Wake Forest team will be competing in the tournament, including freshmen Samantha Asch, Kristina Centenari, Luisa Fernandez and Kimmy Guerin, who will be making their Demon Deacon debuts.

The Deacons' 2013 incoming class was ranked as the eighth-best in the country by the Tennis Recruiting Network.

The Deacs return five players from last year's squad: senior Brigita Bercyte, junior Karen Forman and sophomores Kasey Gardiner, Andrea Retolaza Andrade and Xue Zhang.

Play in the tournament starts on Friday and will wrap up on Sunday.
