
Deacons Host Wake Forest Invitational This Weekend

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team will host the annual Wake Forest Invitational this weekend as 12 other teams come to town to compete at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.
The event will run all day from Friday to Sunday and admission is free.
The women's tennis teams from Appalachian State, Ball State, Campbell, Charlotte, Davidson, Elon, ETSU, Maryland, Richmond, Stetson, UNCG, Winthrop have entered players in the tournament, joining a number of Wake Forest players.
Competing for the Demon Deacons will be Andrea Retolaza Andrade, Kimmy Guerin, Xue Zhang, Kasey Gardiner, Karen Forman, Brigita Bercyte and Kristina Centenari.
Guerin and Retolaza Andrade will both be competing in A Singles, with Guerin opening against Stetson's Andrea Crespon and Retolaza Andrade playing UNCG's Stephanie Falcon.
In B singles, Zhang will take on Charlotte's Lisa Grosselius, while Gardiner will represent the Deacons in C singles with an opening round match against Sarah Stein of Davidson.
Forman will play her first match in D singles against Richmond's Brittany Boys. Bercyte and Centenari are in the E Singles draw with Bercyte facing Stetson's Carolina Meregalli and Centenari taking on Appalachian State's Megan Mullen.
Gardiner and Zhang will represent the Deacons in A Doubles, Guerin and Retolaza Andrade will play in B Doubles and Bercyte and Forman will play C doubles.
