Rubin and Bogaerts Bow Out of Charlottesville Challenger

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Romain Bogaerts and Noah Rubin both fell in their qualifying matches on Saturday at the Charlottesville Challenger.
Rubin fell to ATP No. 385-ranked Marcus Willis of Great Britain in his qualifying matchup. Both players battled to a close first set 7-5, and Willis closed out the match with a 6-4 victory in the second set.
Bogaerts faced American Justin Shane to a tight three set match. The first set went to a tiebreak with Shane winning 7-6 (5), but Bogaerts bounced back with a 6-2 victory in the second set to send the match to a decisive third. The American closed out the final set shutting out the Belgian 6-0 to take the match.
