Rubin Qualifies for Champaign Challenger Main Draw

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Noah Rubin earned his first three-match winning streak as a Demon Deacon with another victory on Monday to advance into the main draw of the Champaign Challenger.
Taking on fellow ACC freshman Alexander Ritschard of Virginia for a spot in the tournament's main draw, Rubin notched his third consecutive straight-sets victory, 6-1, 7-5.
His main draw opponent has not yet been announced.
Rubin earned a second-round upset yesterday over No. 370-ranked and second-seeded Dennis Novikov, winning 6-4, 6-2.
Previously, Rubin eased to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Keith Whittingham in the first round for his second win as a Demon Deacon.
