• No. 11-ranked Wake Forest faces off against No. 6 Syracuse on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Durham, N.C. in the ACC Field Hockey Championship match.

• Wake Forest first defeated Louisville 2-1 in the quarterfinals on Thursday to open the tournament. Anna Kozniuk scored the opener at the 48:07 mark and Karlee Spirit scored her first-career goal at 61:58 to advance the Deacs.
• The Demon Deacons advanced the the championship match with a 2-1 victory over the top-seed Virginia. Jess Newak redirected a shot for the opener and Kozniuk scored the game winner with just over six minutes remaining.

• This is Wake Forest's ninth appearance in the ACC Field Hockey Championship match. The team's last appearance was in 2008.
• The Demon Deacons have won three ACC Titles (2002, 2003, 2006).
• The last ACC Championship for the Deacs was a 1-0 victory over Maryland on Nov. 5, 2006.

• This will be the fifth meeting between the two sides as the Orange with the all-time series tied a 2-2 after a matchup earlier this season.
• The Demon Deacons defeated Syracuse 4-2 on Senior Day, Oct. 18. Madi Julis scored the opening goal, Krysta Wangerin notched one before halftime, and Sarah Thornhill scored twice in the second half to secure the win.
