
Deacons Conclude Play at Kitty Harrison

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team completed the final day of competition on Sunday in the Kitty Harrision Invitational.
Both Samantha Asch and Courtney Meredith earned singles victories to wrap up tournament play. Asch defeated Ximena Siles of South Carolina 6-2, 6-3, and Meredith defeated Natalie Looney of South Carolina 6-3, 6-2.
In addition, Kimmy Guerin played a very good match against ITA No. 119-ranked Brigit Folland of South Carolina. She won the first set 7-5, lost the second set 6-3, and fell in a tight third set tiebreaker 10-8.
Karen Forman and Kasey Gardiner lost their first doubles match of the weekend losing 6-2, 6-2 to Hadley Berg and Meghan Blevins of South Carolina. Forman finished with a combined 6-1 in singles and doubles play.
The next tennis competition for the Deacons is January 16-18 at the National Collegiate Tennis Classic in Palm Springs, Calif.
