
Kozniuk and Holland Tab NFHCA All-America Honors

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Anna Kozniuk and Georgia Holland have been named to the Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-America Team as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFCHA) on Monday. Kozniuk earned First Team honors, while Holland landed a spot on the Third Team.
For Kozniuk, the senior from North Vancouver, Canada, earns her fourth All-America honor. This is the first time she is a First Team selection in her career. Kozniuk was named to the All-America Second Team last season as a junior and the Third Team in both her freshman and sophomore seasons.
During the 2014 season, Kozniuk scored 16 goals and six assists for a total of 38 points as the Demon Deacons won their fourth ACC Championship in program history. She was also named the NFHCA South Region Player of the year and earned her fourth-career All-South Region First Team honor from the NFHCA.
Kozniuk was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year as the Demon Deacons won their fourth ACC title in program history. Her two goals and two assists during the championships earned her tournament MVP honors.
A preseason All-ACC honoree, Kozniuk was named to the All-ACC First Team for the fourth straight season. She is the first Wake Forest field hockey player to receive the honor four times and the 12th player in the 32-year history of ACC field hockey to be a four-time honoree. She is the 40th Wake Forest student-athlete to earn the All-ACC First Team honor four times.
In her only season as a Demon Deacon, Holland tabbed her first-career NFHCA All-American honor. She also earned NFHCA All-South Region First Team honor and second All-Region Team selection of her career.
As a graduate student from Stony Brook, N.Y., Holland was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year for her outstanding play on the back line. She racked up three goals and an assist this season, including a goal in the ACC Championship game. Holland was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team for her efforts during Wake Forest's tournament run. She also earned a spot on the All-ACC Second Team.
