Why did you choose Wake Forest?
I chose Wake Forest because it really is the whole package. The academics are one of the top as well as the athletics. I really felt like I belonged at Wake when I came on my unofficial visit, and knew it was the place where I was meant to go to school and play soccer for four years.
What do you love most about soccer?
The thing I love most about soccer is my team. The girls on the team are incredible, so it can't get much better than playing with my best friends.
What game did you look forward to most during the season?
The game I was most looking forward to this season in when we headed to California to play Long Beach. I was in my home state with all my family there to support. I have about 4 old teammates on Long Beach that I was so excited to get to play against.
What did you like about playing in Spry Stadium?
I love playing at Spry because it is the most beautiful soccer stadium I have ever been to. The field is absolutely perfect, the energy I get from The Hill is absolutely amazing. You just can't beat playing at home, and playing in such a nice facility.
What degree are you pursuing and what are your career aspirations?
I am an Elementary Education major, with a minor in Sociology. After I graduate I would love to participate in a long term missions trip, or if the opportunity presents itself, to play professionally. Eventually though, I would like to be an elementary school teacher.
What's your favorite thing about Tony da Luz as a coach?
My favorite thing about Tony da Luz is his caring personality. He genuinely cares about each one of his players as young women. He is like the father away from home, he cares so much and would do absolutely anything for us. I have been so lucky to get to play for him for four years, he's made these four years so memorable.
What is your favorite place in Winston-Salem?
My favorite place in Winston-Salem would probably be Mama Zoe's because their food is so good and the people are so nice there.
Favorite place to go on vacation?
My favorite place to go on vacation is camping at the river with my family and family friends.
If you could play any other sport, what sport would you play?
If I could play any other sport I would play volleyball. I played when I was young and I absolutely loved it. My best friends at Wake play volleyball, so I would love to be able to play with them.
Who is your funniest teammate?
Kendall Fischlein is my funniest teammate. I think a story that illustrates this the best is when she scored, she did the "nae nae" on the field. She is a bundle of joy and is funny when she doesn't even know it.
What will you miss most about Wake Forest?
The thing I will miss most about Wake Forest is the people here. I have met the most quality people here, and I know that I have made forever friends.
What's your best memory as a Deacon?
The best memory so far as a Deacon would be going to the College Cup my freshman year.
Favorite pregame meal?
My favorite pregame meal is a breakfast sandwich with egg, ham, and cheese.
Favorite class you've taken at Wake Forest?
My favorite class I have taken at Wake Forest would be golf. I enjoy playing golf, and took it with one of my favorite friends Jackie Logue. It was such a blast.
