Wake Forest Returns From Final Exams Break to Host Samford >>
• Wake Forest is set to return from a seven-day break for fall semester final exams when the Demon Deacons host Samford on Sunday evening.
• Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the LJVM Coliseum. The game will be broadcast online on ESPN3 and can also be heard on the Wake Forest IMG Sports Network.

• Wake Forest is coming off a 78-65 loss at NC State in the Deacons' ACC opener on Saturday, Dec. 6.
• Codi Miller-McIntyre led the Deacons with a season-high 22 points on 9-of-18 shooting while adding seven rebounds.
• Devin Thomas and Mitchell Wilbekin each scored 10 points, while Konstantinos Mitoglou pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
• Wake Forest led by as many as six in the first half, but NC State erased the deficit with a 7-0 run and took a 31-28 lead at halftime. The Wolfpack used an 11-0 run to start the second half and held Wake Forest at bay to close out the game.

• Devin Thomas ranks fourth in the ACC in rebounding with 9.4 boards per game. Thomas leads the ACC with 7.9 defensive rebounds per game. Nationally, Thomas ranks 31st in rebounding. • Mitchell Wilbekin ranks 10th in the ACC with 1.7 steals per game.
• As a team, Wake Forest leads the ACC in defensive rebound percentage (.788). The Deacons also rank fifth in the league in rebounding (41.1 rpg).
• Sophomore guard Miles Overton was granted his release to transfer from Wake Forest on Tuesday.
• Wake Forest head coach Danny Manning and Samford head coach Scott Padgett were teammates with the Utah Jazz in 2000-01.

• Wake Forest and Samford have met just once previously on the hardwood with the No. 19-ranked Deacons cruising to a 74-45 defeat of the Bulldogs on Jan. 6, 1992 in Winston-Salem.
• Sophomore Rodney Rogers scored 15 points to lead four Deacons in double figures. Trelonnie Owens and Chris King had 12 points apiece, while Anthony Tucker chipped in 11.
