AIX-EN-PROVENCE, France - Wake Forest's Noah Rubin is one of six American college tennis players representing the United States at the ninth annual Master'U BNP Paribas.
The eight-country competition allows collegiate tennis players from around the world to compete against each other. Each nation is represented by six student-athletes - three men and three women - and two head coaches.
Each round of competition is in a best-of-seven format, which includes two matches in men's singles, two in women's singles, and one each in men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
Other countries participating include Belgium, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland and Russia.
Rubin is the only freshman on the American roster. He is joined by Georgia's Nathan Pasha, Virginia's Thai-Son Kwiatkowski and Julia Elbaba, and UCLA's Robin Anderson and Chanelle Van Nguyen. The United States is coached by Boise State's Greg Patton and Cal's Amanda Augustus.
The first day of competition is Friday. Opening-round matchups are yet to be announced.
