
Matalee Reed Named to 2013 All-ACC Academic Volleyball Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Matalee Reed was named to the 2013 All-ACC Academic Volleyball Team as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference office on Thursday.
To be eligible for consideration, each student-athlete must post at least a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester in addition to maintaining a cumulative 3.0 GPA over their entire academic career.
Reed earns the honor after playing in her first season with the Demon Deacons after transferring from Pepperdine. She finished third on the team with 237 kills and had a team-high 31 service aces. Reed also posted 174 digs and 66 total blocks in the 2013 season. An undeclared major, Reed hails from Dallas, Texas.
All 15 ACC schools were represented on the All-Academic team with Duke libero Ali McCurdy earning Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors.
Wake Forest will open its 2014 spring schedule at NC State on March 22.
