- Wake Forest will be looking to avenge an earlier loss when it takes on NC State in Raleigh this Thursday.
- Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. from Reynolds Coliseum.
- The game will be broadcast on the Regional Sports Networks. Mike Hogewood (play-by-play) and Debbie Antonelli (analyst) will have the call.
- Wake Forest enjoyed its largest margin of victory over a ranked team in program history as the Demon Deacons blew past No. 23/25 Florida State, 78-54, last Sunday.
- It was an easy Sunday afternoon for the Deacs, who led wire-to-wire against an ACC for the first time since 2010.
- Senior Chelsea Douglas led the Deacons with 32 points and four assists for her second-highest scoring game of the season. Fifteen of her points came from beyond the arc, where she shot 5-for-12.
- Junior Dearica Hamby, who leads the ACC in scoring and rebounding, had 22 points and 10 rebounds for her 18th double-double this season.
- Freshman Jill Brunori outperformed everyone on the boards, pulling down a season-high 15 rebounds to go along with six points.
- The Deacons shot a season-best 50 percent from the floor and held FSU to just 33.8 percent. Wake also dominated on the boards 46-37 and limited the `Noles to 1-of-16 from beyond the arc.
Wake Forest Storylines
- Dearica Hamby has notched a total of 18 double-doubles this season. She currently leads the ACC in scoring (21.2) and rebounding (11.3) and is just two double-doubles away from tying the school-record of 20 double-doubles in a season.
- Senior Chelsea Douglas has moved into fifth place for career scoring in school history. She has 1,550 career points and is also second in school-history with 238 career three-point field goals.
The Opposition
- The Wolfpack roll into the game with a 19-3 overall record and a 6-2 mark in the ACC.
- NC State has won three-straight games and has not played since a 72-63 upset of No. 8/9 Maryland on Jan. 30.
- The Pack leads the ACC in three-pointers per game at 7.9.
- Markeisha Gatling tops the team in scoring at 16.9 ppg and leads the conference in field goal percentage, making over 69 percent of her shot attempts.
- Myisha Goodwin-Coleman has made a team-best 63 three-pointers on the year.
Series History
- This will be the 77th meeting all-time between the North Carolina rivals.
- NC State leads the all-time series 63-13.
- The teams have split the season series each of the last four seasons.
Next Up...
- Wake Forest heads to Pittsburgh this Sunday for its first ACC game against Pitt.
