WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The bracket has been released for the ACC Men's Tennis Championship with Wake Forest slated to face Virginia Tech in the first round on Thursday at noon at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
The 25th-ranked Demon Deacons (14-12, 3-8 ACC) received the No. 10 seed and will play the 36th-ranked Hokies, the No. 7 seed, for a chance to take on No. 2 seed Duke in the quarterfinals.
In the only regular season meeting between the two teams, Virginia Tech slipped by Wake Forest 4-3 in Blacksburg in a decision that came down to a 7-5 third set in the final match on court.
The Demon Deacons and Hokies met in the quarterfinals of last year's ACC Championship with the Deacs pulling out a tight 4-2 win. Wake Forest went on to reach the championship match for the second time in school history before falling to top-seeded Virginia.
This is the 10th year in a row that the ACC Championship has been held at Cary Tennis Park, and the Demon Deacons have won at least one match in every edition of the tournament that has taken place in Cary.
Single day tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children, college students and seniors. They can be purchased at the gate in Cary.
