WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Conor Keniry's walk-off single in the 10th inning capped off a dramatic 6-5 come-from-behind win over No. 1 Virginia and secured a berth for Wake Forest in next week's ACC Championship.

The Demon Deacons (29-25, 14-14 ACC) trailed the Cavaliers (42-10, 21-7 ACC) 5-2 heading into the bottom of the ninth. Keniry pulled a run back with a solo homer to right field, and after a Ben Breazeale double, Nate Mondou entered the game as a pinch hitter and crushed the first pitch he saw from Virginia closer Nick Howard over the right field fence to even the score.

After Nate Jones and Parker Dunshee combined to pitch a scoreless top of the 10th, the Deacons closed things out in the bottom of the frame. Charlie Morgan hit a ground rule double to right. Luke Czajkowski pinch ran for him, moving to third on a wild pitch, and after back-to-back walks, Keniry came to the plate and laced a single through the right side to drive in the winning run.

It was Wake Forest's first win over a top-ranked team since the Deacons beat No. 1 Florida in 2006.

First pitch for the second game of today's doubleheader is set for 6:15 p.m. A full recap of both games will follow.
