WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team is slated to play in the Triple Crown Cancun Challenge over the Thanksgiving holiday this upcoming season.
There are a total of eight teams in the field as the Demon Deacons will play in the Mayan Tournament portion which also features Charlotte, Montana and Princeton. The games will be played on Nov. 27-29, at the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Game times will be announced later this summer.
The Cancun Challenge is one of the most unique basketball events held each year. Teams stay and play at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya and the resort's convention center ballroom is converted into an arena which provides fans a special close-up view of the games.
