WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest baseball players Evan Stephens, Matt Conway, Aaron Fossas, Nate Mondou and Parker Dunshee were named to the ACC All-Academic Team as announced by the conference office on Thursday.

Stephens earns the honor for the third time in his career while Conway is honored for the second year in a row. Wake Forest is third in the conference with five players on the All-Academic team, behind Duke and Florida State.

Earlier this year, Stephens was named a Capital One Academic All-American and was a Capital One All-District honoree. Graduating with a 3.83 GPA in finance, Stephens was also named an ACC Postgraduate Scholar. One of the top leadoff hitters in the country, Stephens started every game this season in center field and hit for an average of .300. He compiled 63 hits, 10 doubles and 15 RBIs while walking 43 times which ranked among the leaders nationally.

Conway, a native of Birmingham, Mich., graduated this spring with a degree in finance. A standout first baseman, Conway hit .293 on the season with a team-high 65 hits and recorded 33 RBIs. He also recorded 11 doubles and four home runs in 55 total games. He finished his career with 63 doubles which is fourth all-time in school history.

Fossas, a redshirt sophomore from Dudley, Mass. majoring in communication, became the closer this season for the Demon Deacons and finished the year with 10 saves. He had a 5-1 record with a 3.51 ERA and was named to the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List.

Mondou who hails from Lake Tapps, Wash., finished his freshman season with 48 hits and 22 RBIs. He also clubbed seven home runs which was second on the team while maintaining a team-high slugging percentage of .465. Spending most of his time at second base, he also logged time as an outfielder.

Dunshee, a freshman from Zionsville, Ind., emerged as a top reliever for Wake Forest. He finished the season with an ERA of 2.17 and a 4-1 record with one save in 49.1 innings pitched. Dunshee relinquished just 12 earned runs all season and struck out 43 batters which were the most of any Demon Deacon pitcher who did not start a game in 2014. Opponents hit just .221 against Dunshee all season long.

To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athlete, regardless of classification, must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
