Wake Forest Wraps Up Day Two of Elon Invitational

ELON, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team finished up the second day of the Elon Invitational on Saturday at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center. The tournament concludes tomorrow with all of the final matches for each bracket.

Sara Swift dropped her A3 singles flight semifinal matchup against Olivia Lucas of Elon, 2-6, 6-3, 10-3 and will play against Jess Brumit of ETSU on Sunday in the third place match. On the other side of the bracket, Kristina Centenari dropped her match against Christine Boizzevian of UNC-Asheville 6-3, 6-3, and she will play in the 11th place bracket tomorrow.

In the A1 singles flight, Karen Forman and Xue Zhang will play in the fifth place bracket tomorrow against Natalie Sayer of Radford and Soumeya Anane of UNCG respectively.

In doubles play, Zhang and Forman defeated Von Stryk and Ruppert of USC Upstate, 8-3 in the A1 flight and will face Franco and Blythe of UNCG tomorrow. Swift and Centenari defeated Zoske and Roell of USC Upstate and will face Braschi and Camara of Elon in the A2 flight tomorrow.

After the conclusion of the Elon Invitational, Wake Forest will hit the road again from Sept. 19-21 when they compete in the William and Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va.
