Wake Forest Heads to Tribe Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team hits the road again for its second fall tournament of the season as it competes in the William & Mary 22nd Annual Tribe Invitational this weekend.
All 10 members of the Demon Deacons' team will be competing in the tournament. The Deacs return eight players from last year's squad, including senior Karen Forman, juniors Kasey Gardiner, Andrea Retolaza Andrade, and Xue Zhang, and sophomores Samantha Asch, Kristina Centenari, Luisa Fernandez and Kimmy Guerin.
Newcomer Sara Swift will be competing in her second fall tournament, and freshman Courtney Meredith, who will be making her Demon Deacon debut. The Deacons' 2014 incoming class was ranked as the 22nd-best in the country by the Tennis Recruiting Network, the Demon Deacons' third consecutive year with a top-25 class.
Nine total teams will be competing in the tournament. The format of the tournament is a team style of play. Each team will play three singles and three doubles matches at the Invite. Doubles matches will take place on Friday and Saturday. Each team will compete in two doubles matches on one of the two days. One singles match will be played for each team on every day of the event.
Play in the tournament starts on Friday and will wrap up on Sunday.
