Kan Wins Consolation Bracket at Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Maksim Kan won his consolation bracket on the final day of the UVa Ranked +1 Invitational on Sunday.
After falling in the opening round of the UVa Ranked +1 Invitational on Friday, No. 69 Kan swept his next six singles sets en route to three straight match wins and a consolation title. In the consolation finals Sunday, Kan defeated No. 91 Francisco Dias, 6-2, 6-3.
Christian Seraphim also competed on Sunday, earning a victory to claim seventh in his singles draw. He defeated Virginia's Luca Corinteli 6-4, 7-5 to close the tournament on a winning note.
The Deacs return to action next weekend, and will be split between the Elon Invitational and the ITA All-American Championships.
