The Demon Deacons travel to No. 2 Virginia for their ACC road-opener in search of their first true road win of 2014.

Virginia (9-0-0) is one of just three unbeaten and untied teams in the nation, along with Virginia Tech (10-0-0) and Texas Tech (9-0-0).
The Cavaliers are ranked third by the NSCAA and second by Soccer America and TopDrawerSoccer.
Makenzy Doniak leads the team with 16 points on six goals and four assists, while Brittany Ratcliffe (5g, 3a) and Danielle Colaprico (3g, 6a) also have double-digit points.
Morgan Stearns (8-0, .727 sv%, 0.44 GAA) and Jessie Ferrari (1-0, .667 sv%, 0.47 GAA) have played in at least four games apiece, combining for five shutouts.

Riley Ridgik ranks fifth in the league with 3.62 shots per game, and is just outside the top 10 with 0.5 goals per game, four goals, and 1.1 points per game.
Freshman keeper Lindsay Preston is currently fourth in the ACC in saves (30) and saves per game (3.75), and fifth in shutouts (3) and shutouts per game (0.38). Her nine-save game at No. 1 UCLA is the second-highest total in the ACC this season.

Wake Forest entered ACC play with a sub-.500 record for the first time since 2001. Then, the Deacs were 0-3-1 before the first conference game, and ended up qualifying for the NCAA Tournament.
The Deacs have started at least seven underclassmen and at least four freshmen in every game this season.
In the 2014 season, Wake Forest has games scheduled against eight NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago, including six of the eight quarterfinal squads.
