Wake Forest Hosts Deacon Invitational >>
• Wake Forest hosts NC Central, Davidson, Presbyterian, and Wofford in the Deacon Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Deacs' tournament will begin on Friday at 3 p.m. against NC Central at Reynolds Gym. The second match of the day is against Davidson at 7 p.m.
• Saturday features a second day of two matches for the Demon Deacons as they face Presbyterian at 1 p.m., followed by Wofford at 7 p.m.
Last Time Out >>
• Wake Forest traveled to Houston, Texas and took two of three at the University of Houston Tournament last weekend.
• First, they defeated Texas State 3-1 on Friday, Aug. 29, and defeated Lamar 3-0 in the first of two matches Saturday before losing to the host Houston 3-2 in a tight five-set match.
Wake Forest Storylines >>
• Jazmen Russell, Ashlee Rusk, and Caroline Wolf earned All-Tournament Team honors at the University of Houston Tournament.
• Russell was named Houston Tournament MVP and Wolf was the only freshman selected to the team.
• Wake Forest set the program record last season for best start by beginning the season 11-1. The previous record was a 10-1 start by the 2000 team.
• The Deacs return 10 players from last year's squad, including six starters.

• Wake Forest holds series leads over Davidson (5-1), NC Central (4-0), and Presbyterian (1-0) with the Deacs winning all of the last meetings.
• Last matchups: vs. Davidson Sept.1, 2012 (W, 3-2); vs. NC Central Nov. 9, 2010 (W, 3-0); vs. Presbyterian Sept. 13, 2013 (W, 3-1).
• The matchup between the Demon Deacons and the Wofford Terriers will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

• The Demon Deacons will hit the road again to play in the College of Charleston Tournament, facing College of Charleston on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m.
• The team will then play two matches on Saturday, Sept. 13 against Cal State Fullerton at 11 a.m. followed by Stetson at 5 p.m.
• The Deacs will return to Reynolds Gym, Thursday, Sept. 18, to face their first top-25 foe, the No. 25-ranked Oklahoma Sooners at 6:30 p.m.
