WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Four Wake Forest players scored in double figures but it wasn't enough to overcome NC State's second half push as the Demon Deacons fell 78-70 on Sunday afternoon.

Dearica Hamby tallied her 10th double-double of the season with 19 points and 14 rebounds. She also added four assists and two blocks in the game. Amber Campbell added 16 points and three steals. Kelila Atkinson and Mykia Jones each scored 10 points and Nicole Floyd pulled down a career-high nine rebounds.

Wake Forest (9-10, 0-5) led by six at the half but a combination of turnovers and cold shooting from beyond the arc allowed NC State (12-6, 3-2) to climb back in the game. The Demon Deacons hit five three-pointers in the first half, including three in a row that opened up a 12-point lead. In the second half Wake Forest went 0-of-5 from beyond the arc while committing 13 turnovers.

Campbell completed an old-fashioned three-point play to give Wake Forest a 10-3 lead just over five minutes in to the game. With 12:12 on the clock, Campbell drained a three from the left corner to push Wake Forest's lead to 16-6. NC State answered with a 7-0 run to cut the lead to 16-13.

Jones, Floyd and Jones again hit three-straight from beyond the arc that gave the Demon Deacons a 25-13 advantage with just under eight minutes to play in the half.

Another Wolfpack run made it a six-point game, 34-28, with just under a minute left in the first half. Floyd and NC State's Dominique Wilson traded buckets in the final 30 seconds to send the game to halftime with Wake Forest leading 36-30.

NC State slowly chipped away at the lead before tying the score 46-46 with 13:15 left in the game. A free throw from Dominique Wilson gave the Wolfpack a brief 47-46 lead before Atkinson pulled up for a jumper and Campbell sank a pair of free throws to swing the lead back to Wake Forest 50-47.

Wake Forest went the next four minutes without scoring allowing NC State to go on an 8-0 run and open up a 55-50 lead with just over seven minutes to play. The Demon Deacons were within four, 64-60, with 1:23 to play and started to foul NC State. The Wolfpack went 10-of-11 at the free throw line in the final 90 seconds to secure the 78-70 victory.
