The Match-Up
• Wake Forest plays its final two road games of the year, traveling to Boston College on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Syracuse on Sunday at 1 p.m.
• The Demon Deacons then close the season at home against Louisville for Senior Day on Halloween night.
Last Time Out
• Wake Forest lost another tight game, being taken down by No. 9 Notre Dame, 1-0.
• Nonie Frishette and Lindsay Preston combined for seven saves in goal.
• The game wrapped up a stretch of five top-10 opponents in a six-game span for Wake Forest.
Scouting The Opponents
• Boston College enters the game with a 9-6-1 overall record, including 3-3-1 in ACC action. McKenzie Meehan leads the Eagles with 12 goals, while Hayley Dowd has added eight goals and an assist. Alexis Bryant (5-5-1, .795 save pct, 1.50 GAA) and Alexandra Johnson (4-1, .844 save pct, 0.87 GAA) have split time in goal.
• BC's ACC wins include Louisville, NC State and Pittsburgh.
• Syracuse comes into the game with a 5-10-1 overall mark and 1-6 record in ACC play. The Orange most recently snapped a six-game skid by taking down NC State, 3-0.
• Five members of the Orange have between six and 10 points: Alexis Koval (3g, 4a, 10 pt), Maya Pitts (3g, 2a, 8pt), Alex Lamontagne (3g, 2a, 8 pt), Stephanie Skilton (4g, 0a, 8 pt) and Eva Gordon (2g, 2a, 6pt). Courtney Brosnan has started every game in goal, holding a 5-10-1 record, .750 save pct and 1.33 GAA.
Series History
• Wake Forest trails Boston College in the all-time series, 6-5, but leads Syracuse, 2-0-1.
• Last year, the Demon Deacons took down Boston College in a back-and-forth affair, 4-3. Sarah Teegarden scored a pair of goals and Wake Forest turned a 3-2 second-half deficit into a lead with goals from Ally Haran and Riley Ridgik in the second half.
• Wake Forest and Syracuse battled to a scoreless tie a year ago. The Deacs out-shot the Orange 16-7, but SU keeper Courtney Brosnan made eight saves.
Fountain of Youth
• Wake Forest had an extremely young team a year ago, starting at least seven underclassmen and at least four freshmen in every game.
• That hasn't changed in 2015. At least eight underclassmen have started in every game but one, with three or more freshmen starting in every game but two.
• Eight different freshmen have started at least one game this season.
• Wake Forest has started more than one senior in a game twice this season; in seven games, there have been zero senior starters.
