Wake Forest Travels to Charlottesville
• Wake Forest travels to Charlottesville, Va. Friday for an ACC match against Virginia.
• The match is the first of three in a row on the road for the Deacons.
• The Deacs defeated the Cavaliers for in five sets for their first conference win of the year in Winston-Salem back on Sept. 26.
Last Time Out
• The Deacs suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of in-state foe, Duke, Wednesday at home. The Blue Devils swept the two-match season series and won their sixth in a row in the teams' all-time series with the victory.
• Kylie Long tied for a match high with 16 kills on the night, while Caroline Wolf led the Deacons with 17 digs. Hanna Lee tied her second-highest block total for the season with seven, while Matalee Reed added six blocks and three service aces.
• Rachel Burau and Sophia Dodd split the primary setting duties, tallying 26 and 22 assists, respectively.
Wolf's Big Week
• Caroline Wolf was named the ACC Co-Player of the Week last week.
• Her 42 digs against Notre Dame were the second-most in a four-set match in ACC volleyball history, as well as the most in the NCAA in a four-set match in 2015—it was the fifth-highest total nationally in any match this season.
• Wolf leads the conference in digs with 395. She is tied for third in the ACC with a 4.59 digs-per-set average.
• Her 918-career digs rank her 13th in school history.
Among the ACC's Best
• Hanna Lee is second in the ACC in service aces with 34 and is fourth in aces per set at 0.40.
• Kylie Long is one of two players in the league to have already cracked 300 kills on the year at 314. Her 3.69 kills-per-set mark slots her sixth.
Scouting Virginia
• Virginia enters Friday with a 14-7 record with a 6-4 ledger in ACC action. UVA defeated Notre Dame and lost to Louisville at home last weekend to begin a four-match homestand.
• The Cavaliers are led offensively by Anna Walsh's .366 hitting percentage, the fifth-best in the conference, and Lauren Fuller's league-leading 894 assists. Additionally, Kayla Sears is first in the ACC in aces with 36 and Natalie Bausback is seventh in total blocks with 104.
Next on the Docket
• The Deacs will stay on the road next week when they travel to Clemson on Friday and Georgia Tech on Sunday.
• Wake Forest next plays at home on Nov. 13 against Boston College. The Demon Deacons will host Syracuse on Nov. 15.
