Last Time Out
Wake Forest lost another tight game, being taken down by Syracuse by a 1-0 margin.
Lindsay Preston played the full 90 in goal, stopping five of the six shots on goal she faced.
Seven different Demon Deacons took shots, and five took shots on goal, but none of them found the back of the net.
Out of Wake Forest's 12 losses, 10 have been by a one-goal margin, including four in a row.
Scouting The Opponent
Louisville is fighting to stay alive for an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinals have an 8-7-2 record and 4-4-1 mark in ACC play to go along with an RPI of 71.
Louisville's signature victory was a come-from-behind overtime victory over then top-ranked North Carolina on October 8, 2-1.
No Cardinal has more than six points this season, but eight players have at least three points. Louisville is led by Rachel Avant (1g, 4a, 6 pts), Casey Whitfield (2g, 2a, 6 pts) and Alison Price (2g, 1a, 5 pts).
Taylor Bucklin (6-5-1, 0.89 GAA, .859 save pct) and Paige Brown (2-2-1, 0.96 GAA, .737 save pct) have split time in goal for the Cardinals.
Series History
Wake Forest leads the all-time series against Louisville, 2-0.
The teams have only met twice before. In 2007, Wake Forest claimed a 2-0 win in Winston-Salem behind goals from Jill Hutchinson and Sarah Winslow.
Wake Forest was also victorious in 1999, cruising to a 5-0 victory over the Cardinals.
Fountain of Youth
Wake Forest had an extremely young team a year ago, starting at least seven underclassmen and at least four freshmen in every game.
That hasn't changed in 2015. At least seven underclassmen have started in every game, with two or more freshmen starting in every game.
Eight different freshmen have started at least one game this season.
Wake Forest has started more than one senior in a game four times this season; in seven games, there have been zero senior starters.
