
Serigne Named ACC Receiver of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Wake Forest sophomore tight end Cam Serigne has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference's Receiver of the Week for his performance Saturday against Florida State.
Serigne, a 6-3, 245-pound sophomore from Ashburn, Virginia (Briar Woods), caught a career-high 10 passes for 83 yards and one touchdown. The touchdown came on a 7-yard pass from Kendall Hinton in the second quarter and pulled the Demon Deacons to within four points at 14-10.
Serigne leads the Demon Deacons in receptions with 26. A total of 17 of his receptions have led to first downs this season. Of his 10 receptions on Saturday, four were good for first downs.
Serigne set the school record for receptions in a season by a tight end with 54 last year. He is second in the nation this year in receptions per game among tight ends with 5.2. Western Kentucky's Tyler Higbee leads all tight ends with 5.6.
Wake Forest travels to Boston College on Saturday to face the Eagles in a 3 p.m. game that will be televised on Regional Sports Networks.
